Natsume Atari, formerly known as Natsume Co., Ltd., is a Japanese video game developer and publisher. Founded in 1987, the company established an American subsidiary the next year called Natsume Inc., which split off from the main Japan-based Natsume in 1995, becoming an independent company. In 2013, Natsume Co., Ltd. renamed itself Natsume Atari following a merger with its subsidiary Atari the same year.
Natsume Atari is based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan and is known for developing licensed titles and mobile games. It has developed exclusive sequels for other companies, including for Taito's The Ninja Warriors and Kiki KaiKai series.
